English：Assignment 1

The first assignment of our English module was to produce a basic 5-paragraph essay with pre-writing, citations and references in APA format and also the cover page.
  We were given 3 different topic to write on such as :

1. In some countries young people have little leisure time and are under a lot of pressure to work hard in their studies. What do you think are the causes and effects of this condition? Plan your response, and then write a cause and effect essay.
 
2. Write a compare or contrast essay about any two traditional houses of your choice.
 

3. Identify the steps involved in producing an attractive sketch. Then, write a process essay to describe this process.

Besides, there were some requirement for us which is the word limit must be within 600-800 words, in 'ARIAL' font with size 12 with double spacing. Last but not least, researches on the topic that we had chosen and must be done.

Throughout this assignment, I've found out that time management and essay planning were important as we should manage our time properly so that we would not have to rush our work at the last minutes. Besides, I've also learnt to plan before writing my essay as  if you don't do so you might end up having less or more than the word limit or having not enough points.
Moreover, I've also learnt how and where to get the most accurate information and how to do the citations. Well no man is born with full of knowledge, I've done many researches before starting to write the essay to ensure I have enough information to put into.
It was a great exercise to work on and I should practice more often as I found that my grammar wasn't that good enough and also lacking of vocabulary.
