DV Project 1B：Measure, Draw and Diagram it!

Introduction
The project 1B is the second part of the project one. In this project, in group of 5 following our DV tutorial group which is MVRDV(Me, Jason Yap Kar Juen, Sean Chua Jiu Xin, Voon Sze Lun, Nicholas Yap Wei Ting), we are given a specific site to analyse, measure and record, then creating 8 piece of presentation drawings. As a group we have to work together to measure the site in details in order to draw the drawings right to scale and in accurate measurements.

As for our group, we have to measure a 10x10m site in the Library Entrance. Each of us have to produce certain presentation drawings such as Site Plan, Elevations, Section, Perspective Drawings and so on with minimum of 8 to maximum of 10 A3 papers then compiled with 2 black mounting board clipped together with clippers.


Objectives

- To apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing


- Visualise


- Communicate ideas.


- To demonstrate observation and visualisation skills



Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this assignment, students will be able to demonstrate the following:

1. Identify the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills.

2. Demonstrate observation skills and be able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues via visual communications effectively.

3. Manipulate variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finish product

4. Apply drawing as a means of communication



Submission Requirement

- 8 free hand drawings on A3 paper compiled nicely in between two black mounting board as cover and back with clippers.

A) 1 plan (one A3) (only main measurements)


B) 2 elevations + 1 section (two A3)


C) 2 details (two A3) (plan, elevation and section)


D) 1 location plan+ 1 sketched perspective (one A3) INTRODUCTION PAGE


E) 1 bubble diagram(s) (one A3) (of the space showing


F) 1 sketched Axonometric diagram (one A3) (of anything related to the space)

Reflection 

In this project, it was the very first time of me drawing these plan drawings. With the help of the reference book suggested by our lecturer, Ms Delliya which is the Design Drawing by DK.Chng, I am not that lost and has a guideline for what kind and how my drawings should be like. 

In this project, I could briefly know that what am I going to do in my future, it wasnt an easy job but I'll try my best to give the best I can.
